Well, Sunday's service was simply brilliant. Pastor Zhuang's preaching was very powerful & once again I really felt the love &amp; tangible presence of God. But the unthinkable occurred just before the 2pm service was about to commence. Melissa suddenly passed out & all of us were in a state of shock. So Xuemin &amp; Janice escorted her out of the main auditorium, while the rest of us carried on with the service & continued to sing songs of praise &amp; worship. After service ended, we gathered at our usual meeting point at Riviera, including Melissa. She was shivering with cold & was feeling physically weak due to low blood pressure &amp; sugar level. Due to Melissa's physical weakness, she could barely walk. So we had to borrow a wheelchair. Because it was crowded at Riviera, there was not much proper ventilation. So some of the sisters escorted Melissa to a spot just beside the lobby reception counter. Melissa was then fed with a glass of water & a Mentos sweet. After which, she was escorted by the sisters to level 3. The rest of us waited at the lobby. Then we proceeded to Jurong Point to have our early dinner. Next, we headed for City Hall &amp; upon reaching there, we met Janice & Pranee. After Janice went off, the rest of us headed for the Food Junction in Raffles City Shopping Centre to fellowship for a while as Xuemin had to go off early. She had dessert, a bowl of Bubur Chacha, while the rest of us chit-chatted. We even told some really lame jokes too. Well, that's what we are famous for, being lame. After Wenxing &amp; Desiree went home, me, Xuemin, Pranee, Yishun & Chris then headed back to City Hall Station, where Xuemin &amp; Pranee made their way home. Because it was still early, me, Yishun & Chris decided to go to Orchard Road. Upon our arrival at Somerset Station, we entered a shop selling Christian stuff. After that, we headed for Orchard Cineleisure. Upon reaching there, we had the idea of watching a movie. But because most of the shows commenced after 9pm, we calculated &amp; presumed that the shows might end late & so affect our travel back home. So we called off the idea &amp; decided to walk around the place instead. But then, just as we passed by the PastaMania outlet, we saw Lynette & Grace having their dinner there. So the three of us decided to join them. We headed for the arcade games centre. Lynette &amp; Grace played the Dance Dance Revolution, while Chris & I played the table hockey game. After that, some of us played pool, while Chris &amp; I played the Time Crisis 2 simulator game. After Chris was defeated, Grace came & joined in the game. After the game ended, we were deciding our next destination. Eventually, we decided to go to Takashimaya Shopping Centre, but Lynette didn't like the place. Lynette &amp; Grace were going to meet a friend, so me, Yishun & Chris bade them farewell &amp; we headed to the McDonald's outlet at Shaw House to chit-chat & have a drink. I suggested that we prayed for healing for Melissa as well as the prayer meeting on Tuesday at YMCA. So we headed for a secluded spot &amp; sat down on the staircase & began our prayers. As it was already getting late, we decided to call it a day &amp; went home. -End Transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-112593839546997540?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Festival Of Praise & CHC 16th Anniversary Celebration

-Begin Transmission- It was the first day of the Festival Of Praise conference at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday, August 5th. The planned stipulated time to meet was at 5.30pm at Kallang MRT Station. I was the first person to arrive at the location. As the ushers on duty didn't allow people to remain within the station premises, they were told to queue up for the shuttle service bound for Singapore Indoor Stadium. So I queued & waited for the rest to come. The next person to arrive was Yishun, following that was Kai Qing, Wan Zhen &amp; a friend of theirs. We all went right behind the queue. At that moment, Kai Qing received a call from Pranee, saying that she was about 1 stop away from Kallang. As Kai Qing, Wan Zhen, Yishun & I were approaching to board the bus, along came Pranee, Michael & Kelvin. So we had to go right back of the queue once again. Upon arrival at the bus stop opposite the East entrance of the Indoor Stadium, Festival Of Praise is a revival event where its purpose is to unite Christians to lift up the name of Jesus through anointed Praise &amp; Worship.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-112343720627104236?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

ATTS Course Day 8, 9 & 10 & Yesterday's Outing

-Begin Transmission- It was the day the outfield training part of this course commenced & I was feeling quite lethargic when I woke up as I didn't like the idea of outfield training. So after having breakfast in the cookhouse, trainees were told to draw arms at the armoury. Then we helped to prepare the equipment &amp; stores & loaded them into the 5-tonner, HMTV &amp; LMTV vehicles. At around 9am, we departed from the Army Logistics Training Institute(ALTI) in Kranji Camp & was bound for Lam Sam outfield training ground, which was quite nearby to the camp. After alighting from the tonner, section commanders were told to gather &amp; disseminate instructions passed down from the conducting officer. Each individual section was divided & given certain duties to carry out. For instance, sentry &amp; OP/LP. The rest were instructed to camouflage their vehicles. I was carrying out the sentry duty with my section mate & the rest were camouflaging the vehicle. After our duty was over, we came back to the deployment ground. We were told to carry out the task of digging shellscrapes. It was really exhausting &amp; the weather was hot. Because there were too many things to mention, I just want to simply summarise. We carried out all the various drills which were taught during lecture lessons back in camp. Around nightfall, every section had to build bashas to sleep in. On the next day, we continued our training. One of the defining moments came when our Chief Maintenance Engineering Officer(CMEO) arrived & presented all trainees with the ATTS Badge &amp; congratulated us for this achievement. When our Commanding Officer told us that we were going back to camp around 7 plus, I was so relieved. So just before we left the deployment ground, we carried out the Artillery Drill. Along the road heading out of the Lam Sam training ground, we carried out the Vehicle Ambush Drill. After everything was over, we left & headed back to camp. On the last day, we had buffet lunch before we booked out from camp &amp; went home. Later in the evening, I went for cellgroup meeting. Yesterday, I met my ITE friends & we went to Orchard to catch the movie "Stealth" &amp; shopped around. So here's a recap of the training programme I underwent for these past 2 days. On Thursday, 21st July, it was the commencement of the actual training after 1 whole day of briefing the day before. So after morning roll-call, my fellow trainees & I queued up outside the armoury to draw arms. At around 8.30am, we marched from the company line towards the training ground at Loyang Plot, which was basically very stony, with some surrounding plantations. We can even see the HDB blocks just opposite the camp, so at least we felt like "quite near to civilisation". Initially, there were a total of 7 sections, inclusive of the recovery section. I was in the recovery section. As my section only had three people, we combined with section 5 who coincidentally also had 3 people. Eventually, there were only 5 sections after the combination. I was in section 4, with 5 other people. Our first training was Fire Movement, where each section had to form up a staggered formation &amp; walk slowly towards the position of the "enemy". When my instuctor shouted "contacted", we proned down immediately & pretended to engage the enemy by "firing" our weapons. GSMB Commanding Officer, LTC Lim, came down to supervise us. After watching our performances, he was not very satisfied. So he called everyone, including the instructors, to gather for a briefing by him. He told the instructors to give all trainees a demonstration to show the correct procedure. We applauded their performance. After his words of encouragement, everyone performed much better than before. LTC Lim decided to have a competition for each section to determine the best performing section. Every section was very equal in standard. We also did Observation Post/Listening Post, Flanking, Law Of Armed Conflict &amp; Rear Area Local Protection. After dinner, our CO organized a mess happy hour for all trainees. On day 3, upon arrival at Loyang Plot, all trainees formed up for all-round defence by proning down surrounding the area. After which, we practiced for Fire Movement, OP/LP, RALP, Flanking & LOAC once again. Next, we did vehicle camouflaging. We had to camouflage a 5-tonner. It was not an easy task but eventually we managed to accomplish it. After my section completed our vehicle camouflaging, we went to have lunch, while some other sections were still doing vehicle camouflaging. After lunch, my section practiced our Fire Movement, RALP &amp; LOAC again. My company's project officer, LTA See, videocamed us. It was a little pressurising but we still kept calm & executed the drill. Our instructor told us we had done exceptionally well. After which, every section was instructed to draw their range cards. We had to pick a spot to settle down &amp; draw whatever we can see within the "arc of fire" on the range card. After that, we marched back to company line to prepare to book out. We went to wash up, send arms & then change to our booking out attire. After the debriefing by our Course Sergeant Major, MSG Sim, we all went home exhausted but excited &amp; happy.<br />-End Transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-112217556875754296?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Recap Of Events

-Begin Transmission- Hey friends, it's been a quite sometime since I last updated my blog cos I've been really busy, my apologies for that. Anyway, here's a recap of some events:<br /><br />July 14 - We celebrated Kai Qing's 16th birthday. After her's & Kenny's last paper, they met me at Tampines Mall to watch Initial D. I was there early to buy the movie tickets &amp; had my lunch first before the movie. Kai Qing & Kenny arrived at around 1.30pm. The movie was scheduled to commence at 2.10pm. So in between that time duration of time, the 3 of us waited at the games arcade which was adjacent to the cinema. Steph arrived at around 2.10pm. She rushed all the way from school to meet us, that's really amazing huh? So we went into the theatre. Overall, the movie was very nice &amp; exciting, especially the racing stages. It was comical too. I think I'm gonna get the VCD or DVD. We even took some fun photos too.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/1527/965/1600/untitled2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/1527/965/320/untitled2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>After the movie, we went to eat at the food court & talked about each other's lives. We also went to Mac to eat ice-cream before Kai Qing &amp; Kenny left to go sister Xuemin's house for CGM. I gave her a birthday present, which was a bracelet with Kai Qing's name engraved on it. Steph & I went home after they left.<br />July 15 &amp; 16- After camp, I went for CGM at Guowei's house then went to church for the final overnight prayer meeting session. We prayed for many things, especially the upcoming Arise &amp; Build Campaign. I really really love God very much!!! I reached home around 6.30am & woke up at 10.30am. My friend Mingli asked me out to join him in Ang Mo Kio, so I obliged. He told me to meet him outside the McDonalds there. When I reached there, he was also with his former camp mate. After his friend went home, Mingli &amp; I took the MRT to Bugis to meet up with another friend, Don. She wanted to buy a new Multimedia Card(MMC) for her Nokia 6680 mobile phone. Initially, she purchased the wrong type, so we had to go all the way back to the shop in Sim Lim Square to exchange for the correct type, which was a dual voltage. Then we went to Breko to have a drink. After that, we met another friend, Cynthia, & went to Esplanade to see the fireworks display in conjunction with the NDP rehearsal. Though it was only for a short while, it was really beautiful. After it ended, we all went home.<br />July 17 - I went for my final CIC BS lesson with Kai Qing &amp; Yishun. After which, we went for service. It was the Arise & Build service &amp; everyone had to pledge their monthly offerings. After service, we gathered outside Riviera for a debrief by sister Xuemin. Then we went NTU to eat. Around 5 plus, quite a number of people left to go home. So it was only Xuemin, Desiree, Irene, Felicia, me, Wenxing, Yishun & Chris remaining. We went to the Daiso shop in IMM where Xuemin bought a beautiful-looking box. We spent some time shopping around in IMM. At around 8.30pm, we took the shuttle service from IMM to Clementi MRT Station, where we made our way home from there.<br />July 18 &amp; 19 - It was 1 1/2 days of Chemical Defence Training. On the first day, it was basically theory lessons on the correct procedures & drills to carry out during a real-life chemical warfare attack. On the second day, I went to camp to draw the equipment &amp; went to Pasir Laba Camp for the practical lesson. It was really fun even though I got a burning sensation after the lesson. After that, I went back to Ayer Rajah Camp, where I was dismissed to go home from there.<br />-End Transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-112173743327327490?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

24 Hour Church-Wide Fasting

-Begin Transmission- Hey friends, yesterday was a 24 hour fasting for all members & it's also the first time I'm fasting for this long period of time. So after breakfast yesterday morning, I fasted from the stipulated time of 6am. Usually, I would bring along an extra 2 slices of bread coupled with cheese to camp to consume during my morning tea break, but for a good cause, it was otherwise. So for morning tea break, I only drank a small cup of Nescafe Regular 3 in 1 coffee &amp; rested in my section's rest room until tea break was over & then I resumed work. When it was time for lunch, I also skipped it & gave it a miss &amp; slept in the rest room instead. For afternoon tea break it was also the same. Although I was feeling hungry, I endured through the day & to my surprise, I didn't develop any gastric pains at all. I still had the physical strength to carry on with my work. Really amazing eh? I was also very lucky yesterday too. When I reached for my pocket to take out my camp pass &amp; SAF Smart Card, or 11B as it's usually called, to show the duty personnel upon alighting from the bus, I realised that I didn't bring it & had left it at home. But fortunately, when it was my turn to alight from the bus, the duty personnel walked away in another direction. So I "sneaked" in by the other way. It was also another case of luckiness when I boarded the shuttle bus bound for Boon Lay MRT. I was in the queue waiting for the 6.15pm shuttle service. When it finally arrived, the duty personnel checked the passes of each individual passenger as each of them boarded the bus. When it was my turn, I pretended I had my passes by reaching for my pockets as I slowly moved to the back of the bus. When the duty personnel was handling other passengers, I quickly grabbed a seat &amp; hid myself from his view. When the bus finally got into gear, I was extremely relieved. I took the MRT from Boon Lay all the way to Outram Park, with the company of my colleagues, Tee Hong & Terrence. When the train reached Outram Park, me &amp; Tee Hong alighted & Terrence continued on his journey to Tanah Merah Station. When I finally reached home, I reflected on the day's proceedings &amp; thought to myself about how lucky I really was overall. By the way, I'll be going for cell group meeting this evening at 6.30pm at Janice's place. Well, that's all for my entry today. I hope you all will enjoy reading through. I went to Ayer Rajah Camp for a talk given by my battalion's commanding officer LTC Lim Kok Ann. Amidst the talk, awards for long-term service as well as rank-promotional certificates were also given away. After the talk ended, I proceeded to the canteen to have breakfast & then to the specialists' mess to have a rest before the talk by my Officer-in-Command CPT Benny Yong. His speech lasted until around just after 12. After which, I made my way home. At around 5.15, I left my house &amp; took the MRT to Expo Station. My battalion was having a dinner outing at the Bliss Garden Restaurant in Singapore Expo. This dinner was in commemoration & celebration for achieving the Minister for Defence Award for the 3rd consecutive year from 2003-2005. It also won this coveted award in 2001 too. The emcee for the event was veteran actress Lim Ru Ping. The event kicked off with a magnificient dance performance. The dancers emerged from backstage &amp; danced to the tune of Let's Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez. Their performance definitely wowed the audience & at the end of it, the audience gave a rapturous applause to the dancers. The audience were told to fill up their glasses with either beer or orange juice about 5 minutes before the arrival of Commanding Officer into the restaurant. Upon his arrival, he was greeted with a standing ovation from the audience. After everyone had settled down, two singers entertained the audience with their song performance. The next item was a video presentation courtesy of CPT. Benny &amp; his video production team. Overall, it was indeed an excellent presentation amidst laughter from the audience as some shots were very comical. Following that, each individual company came up with a sketch performance. There was an interval & amidst it, one of the restaurant's staff performed a magical show. After it was over, the sketch performance resumed. The last &amp; final performance for the night was by two of Singapore's celebrities, Eileen Wee, an accomplished celebrity actress/model/author/compere & one of Singapore’s most beautiful women and a rising star in the growing film, television and entertainment scene. The other was local actress/comedienne Abigail Chay. At the end of the entire event, my company 3GSMC had to remain behind for a group photo taking session with the Commanding Officer. After which, I also grabbed the opportunity to get up close &amp; personal with the two celebrities & even had a photo taken with both of them. Then I began on a long journey home -End Transmission-</div><div align="left"><br /> Eileen Wee </div><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" height="241" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/1527/965/320/untitled1.jpg" width="188" border="0" /><br /><p></p><p> Abigail Chay<img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 184px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 250px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" height="250" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/1527/965/320/untitled%281%29.jpg" width="154" border="0" /></p><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-111959077664288330?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Emerge Weekend Sunday Service With Rev. Tan Ye Peng

-Begin Transmission- Here's a recap of what happened on Sunday June 12. I was walking towards the shuttle service bus stop just in front of Boon Lay MRT Station, when Kenny caught up with me. He told me that initially he saw me alight from the train & shouted my name. But I told him I didn't hear him calling me as I was listening to the radio on my mobile. So we took the shuttle service to church &amp; upon arriving at the premises, we made a beeline for the queue at staircase 5. The preacher that day was Rev. Tan Ye Peng. His message was regarding "Renewing Of The Mind", where he preached about the Holy Spirit as well as how we can have the mind of God through our imagination, visions & dreams. Many new friends came for today's service. Raymond brought 4 of his friends &amp; Kai Qing & Lynette brought along a friend as well. After service, we gathered just outside Riviera where Xuemin briefed us about the outcome of the service. After which, we went to NTU to have dinner, then we headed for our usual location at Esplanade for fellowship. It was the first time that Kai Qing was joining us, so she was indeed excited about it. When we reached our usual spot, we realized that there was an upcoming show which would commence at 7.15pm. That spot was occupied by the sound system booth for the show. So we headed for the Pacific Coffee outlet to have our fellowship there instead. We chatted & played some interesting games like "name chain" &amp; "multiples". Overall everyone had much fun. Around 9.15pm, Kai Qing told us that she was going to meet her sister at Scotts' Shopping Centre in Orchard, so we bade her farewell. The rest of us stayed on until around 10.30pm, then we all went home.<br />-End Transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-111876028583039957?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://walter-manutd83.blogspot.com/2005/06/emerge-weekend-sunday-service-with-rev.html' title='Emerge Weekend Sunday Service With Rev. My apologies for that. Anyway, here's a recap of all the events which have occurred for the past month.<br />May 10-12 => Conference with Rev. Dr Phil Pringle<br />May 15 => Weekend service with Rev. Dr Phil Pringle<br />Pastor Phil was an excellent preacher & I was really glad I attended all his conferences &amp; the weekend service. He prayed for all cell group leaders, polytechnic & university students, including me, which I felt the power of God come unto me. Lastly, he prayed for all graduates of the Pastor's course &amp; Bible Studies Classes as well as secondary school students<br />May 20 => Attended cell group meeting<br />May 21 => Attended Pranee's birthday BBQ dinner at East Coast Park, where everyone had a whale of an exciting & enjoyable time despite the drizzle. I was really glad that our moods were not dampened<br />May 22 => Attended weekend Sunday service<br />May 27-June 3 => Spent this period of time in SAF Detention Barracks for corrective detention as I was charged for defiance & disobedience of orders from my superior, resulting in 10 days at DB<br />June 4 => Released from DB in the morning, where 2 of my camp colleagues picked me up from the premises. I felt extremely happy to be back in the civil world after a "hellish" period of time in DB. I accompanied 1 of my colleagues to dine at the Family Food Court in Yew Tee before making my way home. Chatted with Kai Qing in MSN &amp; I asked her about the cellgroup multiplication stuff. She told me that I would be in the newly created cellgroup E384, which was soon-to-be appointed leader Janice's cellgroup. Kai Qing told me that she would still remain in E327 along with sisters Xuemin & Desiree. She added that most of the sisters like Steph, Pranee &amp; Irene would be in E384 with me whereas most of the brothers such as Davis, Raymond & Kenny would remain in E327 with her. Later in the afternoon, I went to meet up with the cell group for an outing at Marina South to play frisbee & then have BBQ buffet dinner at the Chong Pang outlet<br />June 5 => Attended weekend Sunday service, where Pastor Kong delivered such a strong message about creating an impact in the marketplace, which left me extremely amazed. After that, the cell group gathered for a photo shoot. Individual photos of all brothers & sisters were also taken with Janice's digital camera. Afterwards, a few of the members left for other matters. Xuemin &amp; Janice went for the free health screening by NKF. Kai Qing went home, accompanied by Davis, who was going for his guitar class & was also having a test that day. The rest of us went to NTU Food Court to have dinner. After which, we took the MRT to City Hall Station. At that point, I told Janice that I was meeting my family &amp; relatives for dinner. We played a new game called "Listen To Me". Janice was the game co-ordinator. How does this game work? Well firstly, we divided ourselves into 3 groups of 5. Next, each group had to send a representative with the loudest voice. Each representative was then given a card with 4 non-sensical sentences printed on it. The representatives were instructed to stand some distance away. The objective of this game is for the group members to attempt to listen & catch which sentences their respective representatives are shouting & then writing that particular sentence on a piece of paper. The 3 representatives were me, Desiree &amp; Raymond. In the end, Raymond's group won the game. But there was no forfeit as there were too many people around. After the game, we began praise & worship. The message delivered by Xuemin was about "Moving In The Holy Spirit" &amp; it was a continuation from last week's meeting. After cellgroup meeting ended & fellowship begun, Xuemin talked to us about "cellgroup multiplying". Everyone of us were feeling quite upset as we felt that we can't bear to seperate from this current cellgroup to form another. After the discussion ended, we left Felicia's house &amp; took the bus service 242 to Bedok MRT Station. From there, we all went home. -End Transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-111562502212095955?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Outing At Orchard

-Begin Transmission- Today was a holiday-in-lieu from Labour Day yesterday. So I expected that the cellgroup might organise an outing. Little did I expect everyone else to be busy with their personal matters, except Yishun. So he called me on my mobile & arranged with me to meet up at Orchard MRT Station at 12.30pm. We went to Orchard Cineleisure to have lunch at the Long John Silver's outlet there. After that, we walked around Heeren &amp; Takashimaya for the whole afternoon. Around 5.45, we went back to the Orchard Cineleisure Food Chain to have dinner. At that moment, we were deciding what we should do next. I suggested that we watch a movie. So we went to purchase tickets for the movie xXx2 - The Next Level. As the show starts at 6.50pm, we went to the arcade to play games as it was still early. Around 6.40pm, we entered the cinema &amp; settled down at our designated seats. The duration of the movie was around 1 hour 40 mins. But I'm glad I watched it. It was a really excellent movie, well worth the $8.50 we paid for each ticket. Upon reaching my relative's house, I grabbed some food to eat while watching soccer on television. I played with my cute & cuddly cousins too. When it was time to go home, I bade everyone farewell &amp; then left in another relative's vehicle. -End Transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-111526581963970940?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

3GSMC Outing At Aloha Loyang

-Begin Transmission- My camp had an outing yesterday at Aloha Loyang to celebrate the outgoing of my OC, Maj Bob., & to bid him farewell. So everyone had the privilege to leave camp at 12pm. I went home first before going for the outing which commenced at 6pm. Knowing that there was cellgroup meeting yesterday, I called Xuemin to inform her that I couldn't attend the meeting as this outing was compulsory. I took bus service number 81 from my place to Pasir Ris MRT Station. Upon arriving at my destination, I walked towards the bus interchange, where I met my friend, Peixiang. After sometime, other friends came. All of us took bus service number 354 from the interchange to the bus stop just opposite Downtown East & we proceeded on foot from there. I walked for quite a distance before finally reaching the chalet. Upon my arrival, some of my other colleagues were already there, in both units 11 &amp; 13. While others werer playing mahjong or card games, I simply took some drinks & watched television. When it was time to eat, I quickly grabbed my share. In the other unit, my colleagues were watching Kung Fu Hustle &amp; The Best Bet. I just watched the first show & halfway through the second show, they played a game of Bingo. After the game ended, I quietly left the premises with my friend. It was another long walk but we walked all the way to the Pasir Ris bus interchange. After bidding my friend farewell, I went to take the MRT all the way from Pasir Ris to Boon Lay, one end to the other. I was aware that there was overnight prayer meeting which starts at 11.30pm in church. So I called Xuemin to ask her who would be going for the meeting. She told me that Yishun would be going &amp; that she was considering whether to go. But in the end, both Xuemin & Yishun couldn't make it, so poor me had to go for the meeting alone. Upon entering the church auditorium, I quickly went to find a comfortable spot to settle down. When the meeting commenced, everyone sang songs of praise & worship, which was followed by prayers. During the break at around 1.30am. I left the church &amp; boarded the shuttle service which was headed for Ang Mo Kio. From there, I took a cab back home. -End Transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-111526491262552066?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

3GSMC Monthly Healthy Lifestyle Cohesion Run

-Begin Transmission- It was the day of my company's "Monthly Healthy Lifestyle Cohesion Run". So the whole company changed into PT gear & assembled for morning roll-call. Before the run commenced, we did a thorough warm-up &amp; gathered for briefing by the OIC, 1WO Lim Chun Seng. The total distance of the running route was 3.5km. After we lined up by platoon level for the run, my OC, CPT Benny Yong, kicked off the event. I immediately overtook the front runners & progressed slowly up to the frontline. After I crossed the finishing point, I was extremely exhausted. After everyone had arrived at the finishing point, a cool-down was conducted. Following which CPT Benny invited the company to have refreshments for breakfast. It consisted of "you char kway", "har kow", "siew mai" &amp; "popiah". I had a piece of each variety & drank soya bean. After that, everyone went to bathe &amp; wash up before the Workplan Seminar conducted by CPT Benny. It was held at the HQ Armour Lecture Theatrette. The seminar lasted from 10.15am to 12.45pm. It was so long that even I felt like dozing off on certain occasions. When it finally ended, everyone proceeded to the cookhouse for lunch. At 1.30pm, everyone gathered for afternoon roll-call. Then we all went back to our respective platoons to carry out work. At 5.30pm, everyone gathered for evening roll-call before we fell out to go home. -End Transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-111461115564617396?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Sunday Service With Pastor Wu Yuzhuang

-Begin Transmission- I reached church around 1pm & realised that I was the 1st person of my cellgroup to have arrived there. So I went to grab a bite 1st. Then as I walked towards the staircase, I met Davis, Irene &amp; Melissa. We chatted for a little while & then they went 2 queue up for entry into the auditorium. I told them to go ahead 1st as I was waiting for Shirley outside the Attributes book store. Moments later, Yishun came. I told him I was waiting for Shirley, so he decided to wait for her as well. Another moment later, Wenxing came. I told him that Yishun & I were waiting for Shirley &amp; that Davis, Irene & Melissa were already queueing up, so he went to join them. Another moment later, Desiree came. I told her I was waiting for Shirley. So she decided to wait for her together with me &amp; Yishun. Shirley arrived in church around 1.35. Then we all went to join in the queue. I sat beside Shirley as I wanted to share with her the information about the Business IT course which she would be studying in June. Upon showing her the file, she said she was grateful & touched that I have helped her get that information so quickly. When the service commenced, we all sang songs of praise &amp; worship, as we usually do. Then Pastor Wu Yuzhuang delivered his message which was about "Keeping Your Dreams Alive". It was definitely a meaningful & powerful message indeed. After the service ended, we were all about to leave the auditorium, then Kai Qing came to join us. As I was walking up the flight of stairs, she caught up with me &amp; then I asked her why she didn't sit together with the cellgroup. She replied that she arrived in church late & hence couldn't get a seat, so she went to sit in another area. We all gathered at the meeting point where Xuemin briefed us about the outcome of the service. After that, Kai Qing went to meet her mum for the chinese service. After Xuemin's briefing, we all went to Jurong Point to have dinner. Shirley didn't join us as she was going home. So I bade her farewell. After dinner, we went for fellowship at Esplanade. We stayed there until 10.45pm &amp; then we all headed for home. -End Transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-111440237298390903?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Hey friends, this is the lyrics to the song "My Immortal", which was played when Rev. Nothing much happened today in camp. After falling out from roll-call, the Officer-in-Command from the Automotive Training Wing came to brief about Occupational Health & Safety Awareness Standard(OHSAS) inspection. After the briefing ended, my colleagues &amp; I proceeded to the computer lab for theory lessons on the transmission, brake, steering & suspension systems of the BV206T Tracked Carrier, which I'm on course for. We spent practically the whole day in there, except during tea-break &amp; lunch. But the good thing was that we got to go home early as it was a Friday. So I went straight home to have my dinner, changed out of my army uniform into CV clothing & left my house to go for cellgroup meeting. Thrice I barely missed the train at Serangoon, Dhoby Ghaut &amp; City Hall Stations, but thrice the next train took about 1 or 2 minutes to arrive, amazing huh? When I arrived at Bedok Station, I met Shirley & Davis at the bus interchange hawker centre, where they were having their dinner. After which, we took a bus to Felicia's house. Before cellgroup meeting commenced, we played a game as usual. It was called the "Pillow Game". How this game works you might ask? Well for instance, if a pillow is thrown to a respective person, the thrower will call out a member's name. Then the recipient of the pillow must either agree or disagree whether the name called out by the thrower matches his/her name. But the twist in this game is such that, nodding your head means "no" & shaking your head means "yes". So it involves a great individual coordination. The game was indeed very fun &amp; in the end, it was Wenxing who got sabotaged. For his resultant forfeit, he was made to balance on a tiny piece of paper, on one leg & using his toes. Then we had praise & worship. After cellgroup meeting had ended &amp; fellowship had begun, Xuemin wanted to talk to both Wenxing & Desiree in private. The rest of us quickly wrote a birthday card for Wenxing. Dave then played the happy birthday song on his guitar &amp; we all sang. For his birthday present, Wenxing received a book titled "God, Purpose Of Life". Then we all prayed for him. After that, me, Shirley, Davis & Kenny went home while the rest went to eat supper. Overall, it was a very wonderful &amp; exciting day. -End Transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-111362004377904992?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Sunday Service With Rev. Art Sepulveda

-Begin Transmission- Yo friends, guess my entry for today will be quite short. I took the NEL train & when I arrived at Outram Park Station, I met Kenny there. It was such a coincidence, don't you think? Well anyway, we took the train to Boon Lay Station, where we waited for Pranee as she told us she was meeting us. We eventually reached church at around 2.05pm, where the service had already commenced. The preacher was Rev. Art Sepulveda &amp; I was definitely amazed by his powerful preaching. He preached about the negative aspects such as disappointments & rejections in life & how to overcome them in the mighty name of Jesus. He showed us certain examples via video clips, including one which I believe should be the best. It was titled "Bring Jesus To Me". After the service ended, we gathered at our usual meeting point where Xuemin talked to us about the outcome of the service. I gave Shirley a wonderfully self-created postcard. Some of the members went home. But I joined the rest, which included Dave, Wenxing, Christopher, Desiree & Xuemin, to go to CityLink. We went to the Pacific Coffee outlet opposite Marina Square for a drink &amp; chit-chat. We stayed there until around 10.30pm &amp; then we went home after that. -End Transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-111315969826025463?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://walter-manutd83.blogspot.com/2005/04/sunday-service-with-rev-art-sepulveda.html' title='Sunday Service With Rev. Before cellgroup meeting, we played this animal game, which is quite an old game in our cellgroup. It was extremely fun & in the end, it was Guowei &amp; Kai Qing who got sabotaged. Their resultant forfeit was to put a rubber band on their faces. Only Guowei did it. However, as Kai Qing felt embarassed to carry out the forfeit, Janice assisted her by rubbing the rubber band up & down her leg. After cellgroup meeting had ended &amp; fellowship had begun, we all discussed about who wanted to go for the overnight prayer meeting. During the meeting, we prayed for multiple issues such as our church's "live" recording worship album, Pastor Kong's mission work, Pastors Kong & Sun, weekend services with Rev. Art Sepulveda &amp; Rev. Rick Shelton, Nias relief work, our church & general membership. There were 2 half hour intervals during the process of the meeting &amp; each time I proceeded to the church canteen to have refreshments. The meeting finally ended at around 4.30am. We were all feeling extremely exhausted & sleepy but we still managed to stay awake. From church, some of us boarded different shuttle bus services as they were heading for different routes. I took the Sengkang service accompanied by Davis & Kenny. When we arrived at Compass Point Shopping Mall, we proceeded to the bus interchange where I took bus service number 156. I alighted from the bus stop which was just outside the Serangoon Swimming Complex & Stadium. From there, I walked home. Well, that's all for the day -End Transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-111315806635922595?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Shi Zi Lu Kou

I met up with Dave, Irene, Melissa & Felicia at the roof terrace of our church yesterday morning for breakfast &amp; we also read our bibles too. At around 10am, we proceeded to the Boon Lay MRT Station as the starting point of the "Shi Zi Lu Kou" game was there. After spliting up into teams & the briefing by sister Xuemin, the game commenced. The objective of the game was to find a type of food & then link the last name of that particular food to another type of food. There was also a task list for the teams to complete. The task list required us to present an empty can, a bus ticket, 1 sock, 1 strand of white hair &amp; 1 strand of leg hair. My team, consisting of me, Irene, Pranee & Yishun, went to the Jurong Point Shopping Mall to seek the necessary items &amp; took a picture of them using Irene's camera phone. My team reached church just after 12pm & we went to the church's canteen to have our lunch. Then we gathered at the meeting point with other teams where sister Xuemin announced the winning team of the game. Shortly after, Davis & Shirley joined the rest of the CG. We proceeded to queue up to enter the main auditorium for the service. It was simply brilliant, even though most of the CG cried during the service as we felt the strong presence of the Holy Spirit. After the service ended, we proceeded to the hawker centre opposite our church to have dinner. Our next destination was to Esplanade for fellowship. It was Shirley's 1st fellowship session with the CG &amp; we were so happy that she could join us. We played games like "A-E-I-O-U" & also sang some songs of praise &amp; worship. At around 10.30pm, all of us felt tired &amp; went home. -End of transmission-<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-111262170756402327?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

April Fool's Day

It was April Fool's Day yesterday. The day began well as usual as I made my extremely long trip from home to camp. But the moment I reached camp, I played a prank on my colleagues & they all got tricked, haha. It was really funny the way they reacted. After falling out from morning roll-call, I proceeded to the ATC stadium for physical training session. I have PT session on every Monday, Wednesday & Friday morning. My PT conductor was 1WO Lim, who is Platoon 1's Platoon Sergeant. I knew that his training regime was gruelling, having conducted a speed-training session before. For today's session, we started by jogging round the stadium track for 2 rounds. Next, WO Lim conducted what he proclaimed as "Limited Effort" training, where my colleagues &amp; I were required to sprint for 40m & return back to the starting point, all in the space of 30 seconds. I did this for 2 sets, with 6 repetitions in each set. Although I found this training gruelling, I prayed to GOD &amp; persevered through. I did it! Thank GOD so much for I believed HE answered my prayers. At the end of the PT session, I was extremely exhausted & walked back to the locker room. After bathing &amp; washing up, I went for my tea break. Fortunately for me, the day was quite slack as there was not much workload. As I felt quite bored, I decided to find something to do. I helped one of my colleagues, 3SG Zhuang Yao, to laminate a stack of papers. After that, I went for the company sports session, where I played my favourite sport of soccer. It was really fun & my team scored like, 7 or 8 goals? Haha, I was too excited that I lost count. Anyway, after the game, it was time to go home. I quickly changed & jogged all the way from the locker room to the shuttle service bus stop. The bus arrived at 5.30pm. After arriving at its destination at Boon Lay MRT Station, I took the train from there all the way down to Bedok. From there, I proceeded to McDonalds to have my dinner. Upon reaching there, I saw the area around the entrance of the bus interchange being cordoned off. As I was curious, I asked a resident what happened. He told me that the bus driver had actually knocked down a pedestrian & it was a fatal accident. I was quite shocked upon hearing his explanation. I didn't stay around for long &amp; proceeded to Felicia & Guowei's house for Cell Group Meeting. We played a game of "<em>Da Feng Cui</em>" &amp; it was really fun. The message delivered by sister Xuemin was about "My Life in CHRIST". It was indeed a very meaningful message. Then there was worshipping &amp; fellowship. I gave Kai Qing a wonderfully created postcard. After CGM was over, we all went home. Well, that's about all I guess ^_^<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11746058-111245463289986695?l=walter-manutd83.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Hello

Hi friends, I've just created my new web-based blog.
